Sevilla (Classical Guitar)

Sevilla

Sevilla - Suite Española Op. 47 (sevillana)Composed by Isaac Albéniz and performed by Andrea González Caballero.

Like all of Albéniz’s iconic pieces for classical guitar, this one started out as a piano piece — Albéniz was a pianist. It is considered a standard in the classical guitar repertoire along with several other pieces by the composer. Sevilla, along with Granada, Cataluña & Cuba were all part of Albéniz’s Suite Española. This particular piece is largely based on a Spanish folk dance called sevillana.

Keep sharpening your skills—this next classical guitar piece BWV 1006a is a perfect follow-up. Each one brings a unique challenge to refine your technique and expression.

I created this Spanish guitar course to help you avoid frustration and actually enjoy the learning process—because progress should feel good.
